A whistleblower at the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, in Yaounde, has spoken to me about possible corruption and theft of FIFA funds, in the construction of the country’s “Goal Project.”

Not only has he spoken, “Vascelles Burney” – that’s the pseudonym he is using – to protect himself against retribution (“I did not use my real names, because they will sell me to Hayatou. My life could be in serious threat,” he said.) gave me the email correspondence between himself and FIFA’s Ethics Investigatory Chamber, between September 2014 and April 2016.

Here is Burney’s email to FIFA’s Ethics Committee.

He reported what he felt was a clear breach of ethics and good governance principles by powerful football officials in the central African country.

You can also follow the history of Vascelles’ interaction with the FIFA Ethics Committee – and get more details – on my Twitter page.
